GETSIXPACK vs RP Hypertrophy
Both will record the set. Only one of them will tell you what to put on the bar for the next one, and say why.
What RP Hypertrophy is good at
The closest thing on the market to what this app does, and the one that put MEV, MAV and MRV in front of ordinary lifters rather than leaving them in the literature. It builds a mesocycle, ramps volume through it, and adjusts on your feedback about soreness, pump and effort. The model underneath it is sound and this app does not pretend otherwise.
Where this one differs
Two differences, and both are about control. It runs in blocks it designs — you set the emphasis, it builds the mesocycle — where here the rotation is yours, run for as long as you want to run it, and the app only ever picks the number on the bar. And every prescription here shows the rule and the figures behind it, which is what makes disagreeing with it possible: a coach you cannot argue with is one you either obey or ignore.
